Plans for Reunion VII of all former students, staff, and faculty of University High School (UHS), Columbia, SC, have been finalized!! 

     The Reunion will be on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at Seawell's Banquet and Reception Center, 1125 Rosewood Drive, from 6:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight.  Tickets are $40.00 per person, and dress is business casual.   Seawell's is located across the street from the main gate of the fairgrounds. 

     Click on the "Ind. Class Reunion" page for a copy of the registration form.  Please complete and mail the registration form, with your check or money order, by May 15, 2008.    

     The Reunion Committee is very excited about having the reunion at Seawell's, which is known for the quality and variety of its food selections.  Seawell's is easily accessible, can provide seating for up to 400 people, and has plenty of parking.  Click on the "Location" button for more information about Seawell's.

6:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight

Heavy Hors d'oeuvres from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m. 

Swing Set Band plays from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. 

Tea, coffee, and water will be served.

A cash bar will be available. 

     Registration information, along with a map, has been mailed out.  We need to maintain current names and addresses, so click on the "Contact Us" button to make sure we have your current information.  Also, check our "lost" student list and let us know if you have information on any of these individuals. 

          OF INTEREST:  Principal C.B. Harvey's name has been added to the college scholarship fund that Mr. Harvey, with the aid of former students, established to provide annual grants to USC students preparing to teach on the high school level. 

     During the 2007-2008 school year, two students, Sarah Elizabeth Cox of Florence, and Jennifer Lynne Guest of Gaffney, received $1,500 each in scholarship funds.  Both of these students are mathematics majors pursuing master's degrees at the College of Education.  

     The scholarship fund currently has approximately $75,000.00.  A $20,000 dollar-for-dollar matching gift from a University High graduate challenges friends, students, and staff of UHS to help the fund grow.  Mark your check "Harvey-Daniel Fund," and mail to:
